This past Sunday, February 8th we had Darin blessed at Virginia Hills Baptist Church. This was his first visit to church and he was all smiles all day long. He slept until we were called up to the alter and he was pleasant even then. Both his brothers accompanied him as he was blessed. It took a bag of fruit loops to keep the boys happy while we were up there. Justin made himself right at home as he climbed up in the pastor’s chair and when they prayed I glanced over to see him with his hands folded together praying too. The rest of the service went well and the boys stayed in Big Boy church with us the whole time. Papa was Deacon of the Week and when he went up to read and pray Ryan let out a “Ek…Ek…”. The sweetest part was when Papa was passing the offering plate and Justin gave him our envelope and said "Papa would you please give this to God". Both were very good the whole time until Justin said kind of loud "Are we done yet?" and the back half of the church looked around laughing and nodded as if to agree with him. During football season all of the sermons were short until we got the Super Bowl behind us now.Darin went to the doctor yesterday for his pre-op appointment and he weighed in at 16 lbs now. It shouldn’t surprise me with the way he eats, but it still did. He is wearing 6 month clothes now and about to grow out of them if he keeps this up. (He's not eating Goo Goo Clusters yet, but I had to get a picture of a baby with one...LOL) He will be three months old on the 16th of this month. He was cleared for surgery and we are awaiting the lab work to come back. His surgery date is February 19th at Georgetown Hospital. Please keep our sweet angel in your prayers.
Couple of pictures that I had to include. Ryan was loving his cupcake and it made me laugh watchin him. And Darin is already starting to suck his thumb just like Ryan did. It was so sweet to watch him napping in the cradle the other day and he woke up when I took his thumb out. He put it right back in and fell fast asleep again. Justin never did suck his thumb or take a pacifier.
