My First Post

I've had several friends to start blogs and they are such a neat way to remember stories of the kids and to share. It took me a while to figure it out and here goes my first post.

Justin started AWANA's for the first time this past Wednesday. He was so excited and even now he can't wait to go back. All week I was talking it up getting him excited. I told him that he will sing songs, snacks, crafts and have so much. But he would always tell me "No Mommy I don't want the craps their nasty." No CRAFTS...wonder if he learned that from Daddy? But he had such a good time and it made me happy to see his interest in learning more about the Bible. Here he is before we left.

As for Ryan from the moment that we dropped Justin off he was so happy and clapping his hands. I think he thought he could finally play toys without them being taken away. And believe me he made the most of his time too! (BTW - He has three back teeth coming in at one time.) The pic below is from the other night he came into our room and took my night gown. He put his head through the arm hole and was playing a super hero. I tell you it's never a dull moment at our house and I love every minute of it!

Funny Story - Justin has a bible verse to learn this week so he can earn a patch for AWANA's. Well, Paul came up with a good idea to put gold fish in a cup for his night snack and he would get one for every time he said his bible verse. It didn't take him long to learn it either. Well, before he went to bed I asked him to say it one more time. He looked at me so serious and said "God loved us and gave us cartoons" (Funny thing I don't remember cartoons being in the Bible.) Then he said Mommy can I watch cartoons. I told him no not tonight. The he asked if our TV was broken. Then he picks up his cell phone and holds it so serious to his ear and says "God can you please come fix our TV so we can watch your cartoons." I tell you he keeps us laughing everyday with something new.
