Fall Fest

Today we took the kids to the fall fest at our church. The kids had a ball in the moon bounce and hayride. I was instructed that I couldn't do the hayride. We even took a shot at the cake walk. Funny how when a big pregnant women comes in for the cake walk everyone is all over the numbers. I bet they thought that if I won that I would have cleared the prize table! Then we spent the rest of the time letting the kids play at the playground. Here are some pics from our fun day.
Just before we left the house, I wasn't sure how cool it was going to be so I wore a poncho that I had knitted. It had all the fall colors in it with orange edging. Sometimes you just never know what kids will say. I guess that's how they keep us on our toes. I got into the van and Justin said to me "Mommy, why are you dressed like a giant pumpkin." Such the comedian that we have in the family!
Funny story - In fact I am still crying from laughing and hope that I don't short out my keyboard. Paul went out for a bit. We have all the windows open and fans going. I was laying down when I heard the door bell. I'm not that quick lately, so I rolled myself to get up and was sitting on the side of the bed. Then I heard Paul yell Tam it's me; Ok and I laid down again. I noticed it took him a while to come in. He asked me didn't you hear the doorbell. Of course I did but after I found out it was you I didn't think much about it. He said I couldn't get in the house. I had to climb in through a window after having to wait for the neighbors to go in, so I didn't look funny breaking into my own house. I guess this must be a sign of us becoming an old married couple! If it had been me or probably any other women locked out the whole neighborhood would have known from us fussing! (Too bad I didn't get a picture of that one! As my Granddaddy would have said "I love it when a plan comes together!")

It looks like you all had a great time! The boys are so cute. Kids are so sweet and innocent that you just have to laugh at what they say. I'm sure Justin will love hearing that story when he gets older.
