Fun in the SNOW!

Finally we got some snow. When I heard the weather forecast I was so excited. I couldn't wait to get the kids out in it. So when the snowflakes started falling I was rummaging for some snow gear. It took me forever to get them ready and by the time I got the last one done I was afraid the first had overheated. Darin looked so much bigger in his suit. Ryan wore Justin’s suit and jacket from last year; it was way too big and he couldn't move poor guy. When he did try to move he tipped over like Ralphie in the Christmas Story. When his brother tried to get him up he tipped too. I laughed so hard neither one could get up on their own. Just to get out the door I had to move the carrier a few feet, then Ryan until we finally made it out. We don't get that much snow that often so I don't usually think of buying snow gear until it's snowing and there is a mad rush for milk and toilet paper at the store. Funny how the snow was so nice and fun until it cancelled AWANA’s tonight. Justin was sitting at the table talking about how he liked the snow. Paul told him we got a call and AWANA’s was cancelled due to the snow and ice. All of a sudden he got this sad look and said “Daddy make all the snow go away.” The snow was fun but now I'm ready for spring; I hope that little ground hog doesn’t pay no mind on Sunday. I had to include this one about Ryan. The boys were supposed to be napping when we heard Ryan crying in their room. Paul went in to see what had happened and yelled “He’s done a Tammy.” Well it looks like he was trying to get to some toys and took a dive and got stuck. He wasn’t hurt or we wouldn’t have taken the time for the picture. Ryan reminds me of myself at times…poor thing I was hoping he had better luck then that.
One story I keep forgetting to tell. We’ve watched super Nanny and Time Outs are not as easy as she makes them look. Well, Justin was in his room one day and it was quiet. I was thinking to myself well this must be working. Well, all of a sudden I heard him knocking on the window to our neighbor. Then he was calling to him…”Hey Mister…Hey you over there. I'm over here...this way. Can you hear me? Hey Help me I’m in time out and want out…over hear Yoo-hoo!” He's a nut!

I had to laugh when you wrote about worrying that one of them was overheated when you were getting them dressed. I felt the same way when I got mine bundled up. I started with Lenny and thought for sure he would be uncomfortable by the time we got outside.

I wish I could have seen them both tipping over in their snow suits. That's so funny!

The picture of Ryan tumbled over beside the bed is great. It's funny how they get themselves in those situations.

Justin is a little comedian, isn't he? Too funny about the time out. :-)
