Rainy Day Fun
Pretty much since my last post the kids have been sick off and on, so there was nothing too exciting to post on that. They are finally all feeling well again. Ryan got another ear infection; this was his second one since November. This time they put him on Amoxicillin just like they had done before, but this time he had an allergic reaction and broke out in hives. Justin called him a Dalmatian; must be brotherly love. It took him days before all of his spots were gone.
Darin is laughing more and getting louder with it everyday. We put him on the floor with the boys while they were pushing a car back and forth to each other and he just laughed so hard at them. It was cracking it us all up that made him laugh harder. He is loving his exersaucer and it's fun watching him learn what the different toys can do. For our new foods we are trying Squash, Pears and peas. So far there hasn't been a food that he doesn't like yet.
We were so sick of the rain and being cooped up that I think we finally lost our minds. We started off painting pictures to frame and hang in the boys playroom. Justin did a really good picture of a car, Ryan went abstract and Darin did Footprint Art. When I brushed his feet he would laugh and squirm. They had a lot of fun. Of course I had forgotten to cover the table and when you have three kids ready to go you can't look back at that point. We made a huge mess, but I learned this trick while teaching - Shaving Cream works wonders. I covered their spots on the table with it and let them make a big ole mess; the end result they cleaned the table and their hands, the oil was good for the wood and it kept them busy for a while! After it was over and done Justin looked at me and said "Mommy we are so crazy, but we have lots of fun." Then we danced away to our Imagination Movers CD - Life is GOOD!

Justin lately is so funny with the things that he says. Papa came by to visit in his car and he was watching him leave out the window and said "That Papa sure is crazy about cars." But knowing Justin and how wiggly he is the one that made me laugh the hardest was when Papa told him to sit still he was going to draw a picture of him. He was sitting really still then after several seconds he says "Ugh this was harder then I thought it was going to be." Then of course we all like to think our kids are angels do no wrong. Then there is always something that happens that sheds light on that one and the bubble is busted (again). I decided to stuff Easter Eggs for Justin to give out to all of his AWANA buddies. Pretty innocent you would think. Well, I pick him up and it seems that Justin decided to give them out with a yell of a "Happy Easter" and pegged them at his buddies like he was Cal Ripken. Did I mention that he was adopted??? Hmmm....yeap, thanks Super-Nanny for the Time Out lesson! I hope that he gives the Easter Bunny a better welcome then that when we go to see him or someone is getting Bunny Poop in their Basket!
