Darin's Home!
Darin was discharged from the hospital on Sunday after spending 12 days in pediatrics recuperating from the RSV virus. He was released home on oxygen and several medications. We are praying for his doctor's appointment next that he will get to come off of everything. Thank you for praying for our sweet angel! Shortly after Darin was born and came home we all caught what I thought was a simple cold. Though we did all we could to try to ward it off from one another Darin got sick. I never dreamed that he would have to go through so much. A lot of babies that get this can get well in a short time, however, Darin was still just shy of full term and the doctor said between that and being a young age is why he took this so hard. We had an appointment for him on Monday and a visiting nurse yesterday. Our little man is weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long now. They say that he is still breathing hard some, but is doing a lot better. Please continue to pray for him!
Let's see what happened during all of this time. Darin was in there for his first holiday, Thanksgiving. We started the day a little crazy and the kids got into the pantry and emptied all of my pepper and minced onion. I would say it was a little, however, we shop at BJ's. Yeap we were all sneezing for a while after that. Justin told me that he was making thanksgiving dinner for us all. However, Greenie and Papa saved the day and did make us all a really nice meal and we got to celebrate a little together. We definitely have so much to be thankful for and too I was thankful they didn't find anything more in the pantry to dump! Then the major home front issue was when Justin decided to cut his own hair. Hmm...as you can tell from the picture it doesn't look like he was too happy with the haircut either! Luckily it was his own head and not his brothers. Hope Santa takes his name off the naughty list soon!
I never thought that raising kids would be like a football game. The first full day we were all together again that is how my day went. Let's see Paul and I are the offensive/defensive coordinators, Justin is the quarterback calling the plays, Ryan is the tight end due to diaper issues and Darin is the football that we pass back and forth until he claims his position. Darin's oxygen cord is considered pass interference and safety for the others when they get caught up in it. Then there was a challenge on the play when all three were crying at the same time for something. Of course there was a personal foul when big brother was picking on middle size brother and off sides now the boys can open the baby gates. I was looking forward to what I call half time, which is nap time to reconfigure the game plan. Then we had three time outs when Darin, Ryan and myself had doctor appointments. That was all in one day and at the end of the day we went into overtime. I felt beat up like the Redskins after a bad game and the next day I started practice a lot earlier before the team showed up on the field! :)

To funny, stories and pictures! Never a dull moment. Boys don't be to rough on Mom and Dad. Love it. G&P
I'm so happy that Darin is home! It must be so nice to have him there with his brothers. Speaking of brothers, what a mess with the pepper. :-) I had to laugh at that one.
I also loved your football analogy. That's hilarious. I've said before too that I felt like I was in a football game playing defense against a very good offense.
They know that they have you and Paul outnumbered now. Good luck!
