The Elves are Hard at Work!

Justin is at the perfect age to help out with Christmas preparations and he really is into it. His shopping is done, but Ryan still had to do his. I thought that Justin would be upset that I would take Ryan, but he wasn't. Instead Justin took his arm around Ryan’s shoulders and said "Listen here buddy when you get my present I want the red truck and a car too and for lunch cheeseburger and fries please". He described exactly what he picked up for himself in the store and I told him that this was a trip to get presents for other people. (Papa thinks Justin is going to make a great politician one day.) Ryan did a great job picking out all of his special gifts and he even picked out things for Darin to give. Darin was pretty lucky to have such a great personal shopper and wrapper helping him out this year. The only problem we ran into was there was one gift that Ryan just didn’t want to put on the counter and he cried. As soon as we got home Justin asked Ryan if he got him the truck and car. Lucky Ryan can keep secrets for now.

Justin is funny he doesn’t keep good secrets. Even when he plays Hide n Seek he will pop up and say here I am. So anyone asking how his shopping trip went he will say good and I got you whatever. Then if you tell him not to tell, he gets a mad look and crosses his arms over his chest then says "I’m not saying nothing no more and I give up"!
We are very blessed with the nicest neighbors/friends. They found Santa in our neighborhood and sent him over to our house. What a wonderful surprise to get an early visit from him! Justin sat in his lap and told him exactly what he wanted. What can I say he is a kid that knows what he wants! He asked Santa for a Camera and Bulldozer; if you ask why he wants a camera he says to take pictures of my new bulldozer. Santa wanted to know what list Justin belongs on and of course Justin said the Good Boy list. I hope Santa lets him slide this year! Ryan was a little hesitant about Santa but he never cried. We really enjoyed having him to visit us and hope that he comes back real soon.

Tonight was the Griswold's light tour where we all pack in the van and the GPS is set to take us on the exploration. Christmas lights at our house is more like a competitive sport and my husband Griswold likes to check out the competition. Today is his birthday and tonight will be part 2 of our light tour. We can't deny him on his birthday! Here is a picture of our house with all the lights out now. Check out the fireworks coming up over our house...now isn't that something! Christmas Vacation never saw something like that one!
On the side note we were going down the road and Justin yells to us that his song is on turn it up. We could not stop laughing that he knows all the words to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and even all the songs in the Disney Cars movie. He definitely is entertainment for the whole family. We are thinking of renting him out for birthday parties....any takers???
