Firsts...

Well, last night was finally graduation for Darin from his cradle in our room to his big boy bed with his new bunk buddies. Last night I picked him up and was loving him then thought why not try to see what he does in his own bed. When I came back to our room Paul was surprised and looked in the cradle and said "Ugh...what did you do with him?". Darin did really well for his first night in his new bed. When I heard he had settled down and it was totally quiet for a bit - I tip toed in to make sure he was okay and take a picture of him in his big boy bed. It was dark in there, but I could still see where he was laying. I aimed and shot then on the LCD screen of the camera is when I noticed his eyes were open (but he was still quiet). I let out a "D'oh" and I jumped to the floor. Yeah like he didn't notice that one! I have always been told that Papa used to sleep with one eye open, so he wouldn't miss anything - looks like Darin will follow suit for now. I love watching the kids sleep so peacefully. It surprises me how we can get three boys in one room, but we made it work comfortably at least for now and his bunk buddies loved having him there. Then this morning came and I could see on the video monitor he was stirring. I went in to say good morning and he was all smiles. Then for the first time he got to join his brothers for breakfast. While the others ate biscuits, Darin ate Rice and Apple Cereal for his first meal. Gerber has gotten more gourmet since the other two started eating. It was so sweet that when he took the first bight he just smiled and let a little laugh. He really enjoyed it. If you notice for his first meal he had to wear his I Love my Big Brother bib - however, since there are now two bigger ones we had to make a small grammar fix with a sharpie and we now have Big Brother "s". We couldn't let no one feel left out now!

My favorite part after a long winter is the first real break in the weather when we can play without the coats to hold us back. Today is such a beautiful warm day and we are taking full advantage of it. It's funny how you can see how much the kids have really changed and grown over the winter. Justin was out riding his tricycle with no problems or needing little pushes to get him started and Ryan was starting to climb and slide all by himself. You can tell that Justin likes to be the "Mother Hen" to his brothers and I'm sure Ryan is thinking "Gee Justin can't we have any fun...shucks!"

Oh that's so cute that they are all sleeping in the same room now. How adorable!

I love the video of Darin eating his cereal. That's just so sweet. Even when they spit it back out. Makes me want another one! :-)

The video of Justin and Ryan climbing into the tree house and going down the slide is very cute. It's fun to watch your kids interact and play together. I recognized some clothes too. :-)
